On Saturday, November 7th, LWB company members and trainees
once again had the wonderful opportunity to perform at the Faith Heritage
Holiday House! We performed four pieces, two of which were from our Christmas
repertoire, and Caitlyn had the opportunity to share her testimony. Afterwards,
several children came up on the stage to learn some ballet steps. It was so fun
watching them! Many people shared with me how they were touched. One woman said
she was so blessed that she had tears in her eyes. All of this filled my heart! ~Brookie Rossi

Rally for Ray's Kids
Saturday October 31
Rally for Ray's Kids
The Company had the unique opportunity to perform at a
fundraiser event with the purpose to raise funds for the continuation
particular gyms/community centers for inner city kids in Syracuse. There was a
boxing ring set up in the Harley Davidson warehouse dealership and throughout
the day there were ongoing boxing matches for kids through adults. We did 'Alive' and 'God With Us' in between
matches in the boxing ring! Unconventional ministry taken to another level! The
floor had a good spring to it and even though the space was small we were able
to fit into it well. We did both dances back to back with one dance facing one
way and then for the other dance we flipped front to the other side of the ring
because people were sitting on 3 sides of the ring. There was a good community
atmosphere there with young boys to adults competing and lots of family members
watching. There was a positive response from the people in the audience and we
had the privilege of meeting Ray Rinaldi, the man who runs the centers and is a
boxing legend in Syracuse. Although it was a very short performance we pray
that what was done will have a lasting effect on the people who were there!

Beit Chayim
LWB had the wonderful privilege of performing at Beit Chayim
on Saturday October 10th. Beit Chayim is a congregation of Jews and
Gentiles who worship Israel's messiah, Yeshua, in the context of a Jewish
lifestyle and identity. LWB just recently returned from a trip to Israel, and
in many ways it felt like we were still there! We were able to worship with the congregation at the the beginning of service with some of the song lyrics in Hebrew. We
also had the joy of seeing a genuine Torah and were given a short lesson on how
they’re made. We performed our story ballet “The Crown” and ended with “Song of
the Ages”. It was such a joy to perform at Beit Chayim. We could tell they were
truly worshiping with us as we performed! After service they served a nice meal
and we were able to get to know everyone better. We were so blessed at Beit
Chayim and look forward to performing there again in the future. ~Kristie

Transformation Syracuse and Syracuse Airport Christian Fellowship
On 9/25/15, Light of the World Ballet company performed as
part of a prayer service hosted by Transformation Syracuse and Syracuse Airport
Christian Fellowship. It was so exciting to see Christians from different
churches and different parts of the city come together to worship and pray for
our area. Other cities in the upstate NY area were also praying at services in
their area at the same time; such a blessing to have such unity as we cry out
for upstate NY! The company presented 'Before His Throne', a worship piece
about God's holiness. So glad we could worship with everyone there! ~Cayla

Christian Dance Fellowship Retreat
October 2-3 LWB Company
and Trainees attended and performed at Christian Dance Fellowship Retreat at
Shiloh Retreat Center in Eaton, NY. It was our first performance of the new
semester!
The weekend was
powerful, encouraging, inspiring, and full of many sweet times of worship, proclamation,
intersession, and fellowship.
On Friday evening, LWB
company performed their story ballet The Crown, Trainees performed their new
piece that first debuted at the Spring Production, Before His Throne, and both
Company and Trainees performed a bold piece called Song of the Ages (Kadosh).
These are all very powerful pieces of LWB repertoire. The Crown centers on the
Gospel and the truth that we receive salvation not based upon our own works,
but only based on the Grace of God and the redemptive work of Jesus Christ.
Before His Throne seeks to capture the experience that we will receive in
Heaven of beholding God seated on His throne in all of His holiness and
responding in complete humility and worship. Song of the Ages is a proclamation
of the power of God who is the God of Angel Armies and who always fights for
His people.
LWB also had the privilege
of watching other retreat attenders perform their own dance pieces and even a
couple of mime performances. It was very special to join with fellow believers
who share in LWB's passion to bring honor to and celebrate Our Great God
through dance. As mentioned before, the retreat was not only made up of
performances, but also sessions for intercessory prayer and spontaneous
worship. We explored worship and intersession through modern dance, sword
drill/warfare, Israeli folkdance, tambourine, the Israeli shofar, and
banners/flags. How very special to be able to bring prayers and praise unto God
through all the various instruments He has provided.
One of the greatest
takeaways from the retreat for me personally was being able to take time to
consecrate this new year unto the Lord. I believe that God used this retreat to
really build us up and equip us for the great plans He has in store for this
year (school year). LWB is so thankful for each person who attended and added
to the blessing and especially thankful to God for the amazing opportunity to
know Him and draw nearer to Him this weekend.
Blessings,
Abby (Trainee II)
Psalm 149:3 "Let
them praise His name in the dance: let them sing praises unto him with the
timbrel and the harp."
1 Chronicles 15:28
"Thus all Israel brought up the ark of the covenant of the LORD with
shouting, and with the sound of the horn, with trumpets, with loud sounding cymbals,
with harps and lyres."

Word of Life Kingdom Kidz
Two weeks ago, we had the joy of returning to Word of Life
Church in Baldwinsville, NY. We performed our story ballet "You Are
Special" for their Kingdom Kidz services. After the ballet, we presented
our piece "Spirit Break Out" and had the kids join in worshipful arm
motions at the end. It was moving to watch them so engaged in everything going
on and join in with the arm motions. Later we taught them fun dance steps and
let them run and jump across the stage! One of our company members shared a
testimony and the dancers prayed over the kids before service dismissed. We
always love visiting here and seeing God move in the hearts of His precious
children. Praying God's continued blessings upon this ministry and the
incredible leaders He has positioned there. What a wonderful blessing it is
every time we visit! ~ Rachel

Oneida First United Methodist Church
This past Sunday the Company had the honor of returning to
Oneida First United Methodist Church. This was the Company's premier of our
piece "Build Your Kingdom Here" which has been on the back burner,
waiting to be performed for the past 2 or so years! It felt good to be able to
finally present it! We also did "Before the Throne" and "Healing
is in Your Hands". As always, it blessed me so much to watch the
congregation join us in the hand motions to "Healing is in Your Hands".
I love the opportunity to worship the Lord together through movement. I always
really enjoy the people at Oneida First United Methodist. They are so warm and
welcoming and it was such a joy to be able to return! We pray that the Lord
blesses them and uses them powerfully to further His kingdom. ~Breanne
