Hutchings Psychiatric Center

Tuesday March 11, Light of the World Ballet Company and Trainees performed at Hutchings Psychiatric Center. We were thrilled to be returning to Hutchings for our third year. It’s always a joy to go and be a part of Hutchings and the dance therapy program they have for their patients. Before we performed we were able to join some of the patients on stage to dance with them for their therapy session. We performed Ana’s Battle and finished with Healing is in His Hands. The patients were so sweet and even came backstage to thank us afterwards! We love the people at Hutchings and we look forward to next year’s performance! –Kristie

Syracuse City Jail

Tuesday evening, February 26, LWB Company and Trainees performed at the Syracuse City Jail for their women's department. We were excited to be performing there for our fourth year now! The staff was great helping us load our props in and out easily. It was a wonderful time of ministry with the girls. We performed "Ana's Battle"- a story about overcoming the lies we hear about ourselves from Satan and coming to know the truth that God loves us as His children. Rebecca shared her personal testimony followed by one of our newer pieces of choreography "God With Us" - telling the story of the life of Jesus. We closed our time with the women and staff with one of our favorites "Healing In His Hands". Some were moved emotionally as they followed us in arm motions. Miss Ashley shared the Gospel message and invited anyone who wanted to receive Christ's love to pray with her. We were so happy to be able to hand out Gospels of John to everyone and encourage them to open it up and read it in their rooms. Continuing to pray healing and blessing over their lives. Have an awesome day everyone! ~Rachel

Menorah Park

On February 12th Company and trainees performed at Menorah Park, a Jewish adult home. We performed Ana’s Battle and Song of the Ages, which has lyrics in Hebrew. It was very exciting to get to minister to these American Jews, and to share with them about our recent trip to Israel. It was our first time performing at this location and we hope we can make it a regular stop! ~ Lydia

Worship Night with One Voice

On February 8th, Light of the World Ballet Company performed our newest ballet, Unshakable Kingdom, at a worship night with One Voice, a local worship band. It was so exciting to finally perform Unshakable Kingdom! It is a collection of worship songs by Christy Nockels, and had been a lot of fun to rehearse. It was also a joy to work with One Voice again- these talented musicians have a beautiful heart for the God, and a passion for worshipping Him. We continue to pray for the people of Auburn, and are excited to see what God continues to do there! It was a blessing to worship Him there, and worship with others who love Him so! ~Cayla

Church on the North Coast Lorraine

Sunday, December 15, Light of the World Ballet had the privilege of performing at Church on the North Coast (Lorraine, Ohio) for their morning worship service. Performing for them was such a joy and pleasure! What a great spirit within the church. Our hosts were so gracious and welcoming- what a blessing they were! We are so very thankful for each and every one of them! At this location, we performed our story ballet "Ana's Battle" along with some of our Christmas pieces. The Lord has so much in store for this wonderful church. We are excited to watch what He does as they continue to seek His face! The weather was very snowy, but the Lord had His hand of protection upon us as we made our travels around Ohio and back to Syracuse. Though it is not fun to drive in, the snow is absolutely beautiful. It always reminds me of how Jesus washes our sins white as snow:) Have a wonderful Christmas and Happy New Year! May it be full of many blessings and joy ~ Rachel

Fayetteville Tree Lighting

LWB Company had the great pleasure of being able to perform at the annual tree lighting in Fayetteville. The tree lighting activities are all held in the garage of the Fayetteville Fire Station. It was a very cold day, so we all bundled up to try to stay warm as we set up in the chilly garage. This performance happened to be right on the tail end of our Thanksgiving break, so we all prayed that we wouldn't look as out of shape as we felt :-) We performed a few Christmas dances. There was a good crowd, and everyone was very festive. It was such a fun way to kick off the Christmas season! After the performance, we had kids come up to try some dance steps. There was a large group of kids who wanted to give it a try. When we finished, most of the kids stuck around to talk or dance around on the floor. I think we all had a blast just dancing around with the kids. I pray that they felt the immense love that the Lord has for each one of them!~Breanne

Salvation Army

On December 11th, Light of the World Company and Trainees performed at the Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center. We performed Ana’s Battle, and concluded with Go Tell in on the Mountain. The audience was extremely excited to have us there, and about half of them raised their hands to accept salvation after the gospel message was given. It was such a joy to perform there! ~ Lydia
