On February 13th LWB company and trainees performed at St.
Luke's Rehabilitation Center in Oswego, New York. The performance went really
well. There was a large turnout of the St. Luke's residents and faculty so much
so that the meeting hall we performed in was completely packed. LWB performed
our short travel version of Follow the North Star and invited our audience
members to join in Healing is in His Hands (our song with simple hand motions).
Many of the audience members joined in and it was very special doing this song
all together for the first time after our winter break. I was privileged to
share my personal testimony and we were all privileged to be able to meet many
of the residents after the show. Meeting elderly residents at centers like this
one is always special as we get to hear their stories and inquire about their
relationships with Jesus Christ. St. Luke's was our second performance of the
year. Performing there was a blessing! ~Abby(Trainee)

Valentine’s Sitter
Valentine’s Sitter was a blast! On February 14th, we did a
Valentine’s Sitter fundraiser for missions. After parents had dropped off
their kids, we started the night with some Valentine games, and a fun heart-shaped craft, followed by dinner. After everyone enjoyed their pizza, the
company and trainees performed a few different dances and the kids got to join
in the dancing as well! Lydia shared her testimony and Miss Ashley gave a
character lesson. We finished the night with heart-shaped sugar cookies and some
coloring pages. We had a great group of kids, so fun and attentive! It was a
great opportunity to share with the kids, "We love because He first loved
us,"(1 John 4:19)! ~Anna

Bellevue Manor
LWB
Company and Trainees had the opportunity to dance for the residents of Bellevue
Manor nursing home. Despite the frigid temperature outside, many people came to
watch the performance. We performed Follow the North Star and Anna shared her
testimony, connecting the freedom from slavery depicted in the ballet to the
freedom from sin that God offers us. Several of the workers at the nursing home
also came to see us dance. After the performance, we were able to talk to
members of the audience and greatly enjoyed getting to know them a little. They
were all such a blessing to us and we are thankful for the chance we had to
dance and share God's love with them! - Caitlyn

Faith Heritage School
On Wednesday February 11th the company and
trainees performed at Faith Heritage School. It was the first time that the
tour version of Follow the North Star was performed. Follow the North Star is a
historical ballet that tells about Harriet Tubman and how she led slaves to
freedom. It was very exciting to get to share this story with the kids at the
school. They were very attentive to the story and afterwards we got to talk with
several of them. The school is doing a great job with the kids, and we pray
that God continues to bless them and the work they are doing! ~ Lydia

Lighthouse Church of God
Light of the World Ballet had their first performance of the 2015 spring season at Lighthouse Church of God in Mexico, NY. We had so much fun worshipping with our brothers and sisters in Christ before presenting "Ana's Battle", a story ballet about fighting the lies of the enemy with the truth of God and what He says about us! The church was really responsive to the message, especially the part where Ana stands up to the "whisperers", remembering who she is in Christ! It was a blessing for us to be there for the morning service and to get to share this exciting ballet. :) -Jamie

Destiny USA Mall
On December 20th, the company, trainees, and youth ballet
performed at Destiny Mall. Although shortly before we performed, we realized we
had forgotten an important cord for the sound system, God proved faithful, and
we were able to recover it and start the performance in a short amount of time.
We performed our Christmas pieces from "A Christmas Celebration"
twice that afternoon. Since we were in a central area of the mall (right where
kids and their parents were lined up to see Santa), many people got to watch
the performance and hear the salvation message given by Miss Ashley. We had the
opportunity to dance with quite a few of the sweet kids there during our
interaction with the audience, which was a lot of fun. Jesus was lifted high,
and it was a wonderful way to begin Christmas week! ~Hannah W.
Galisano Children's Hospital
LWB had the privilege of performing our Christmas show at
Galisano Children's Hospital December 18th. The Holy Spirit was very evident
and God moved in many ways. We were able to interact with the children and had
a special time of prayer with a family who had felt God speak into their lives. We
are very thankful for all of the prayers for our performances and very thankful
that we were able to share our joy with those awesome children. -Crisanna
